About Us
Our Story
Storey Brothers is a family-owned excavating company in Cumberland, Maine. It was started in 1993 by three brothers, Rick, Jim and Tim and their father, Donn.
Storey Brothers began business by doing site work for residential construction. Now, in addition the residential site work, we do commercial site work, road reconstruction and utility construction.
We have grown from a small operation to one of southern Maine’s most reliable excavating companies. We have a large variety of equipment, operated by highly qualified, well-trained operators.

Residental
We specialize in a wide range of residential excavation services, including site preparation, foundation preparation, prepping driveways, digging for utilities, and drainage solutions. Whether you're building a new home, installing a septic system, or adding an addition, our team ensures effective and efficient excavation.
Commercial
Our commercial excavation includes site clearing and excavating foundations to underground utilities, and grading. We handle a wide variety of complex commercial jobs of all sizes. With the right equipment and experienced crews, we ensure projects stay on schedule and meet all requirements.
